ZUCKERMANN OPTIMA-S-8/1000 Copy Lathe with integral sanding.
For asymmetrical or symmetrical wood turnings ranging from furniture legs (Queen Anne), gunstocks, guitar necks, to tool handles and the like.  General Specs: 8-Spindle Copy Lathe, 39.3" (1000 mm) max. copying length, max. working dia. 200 mm (7.86"); 5.5 HP motor on each spindle, 6,000 RPM belt-driven spindle with cup cutters. All cutters are copying according to one sample specimen. Equipped with: (8) Single head sanders for simultaneously shaping & sanding; (2) 2.8 HP motors power all sanding heads, 6" wide sanding belts. Speeds: Stock rotation variable from 15 - 75 RPM, variable feed speed of shaping & sanding cycle from 200 mm/Min - to 1,200 mm/Min (0.75 IPM to 47 IPM), pneumatic clamping of workpiece. Includes: Installed used cup cutter heads. Larger working dia. is possible by omitting adjacent workpieces and as the copier allows. Actual model is OPTIMA-S-8/1000.
