Product Manager, Solid Wood Processing

As an EX-FACTORY Product Manager, you will combine technical knowledge with sales skills to profitably grow revenue for the company and maximize market share. This position requires someone with insight into woodworking machinery and CNC equipment who is assertive, personable, and solutions-oriented. You will identify new sales opportunities and develop sales proposals, quotes, and equipment specifications. You will prepare strategic plans to increase revenue and position EX-FACTORY as the premier partner for new and used solid wood processing equipment.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct long-distance sales of new & used woodworking equipment worldwide, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and beyond.
  • Handle the purchase or sale of one machine or an entire plant.
  • Writing detailed sales orders and purchase orders.
  • Actively search and spec machines for listing on the website.
  • Proactively work with our Auctions & Liquidations Team on occasion.
  • Develop relationships with customers and vendors for mutual long-term benefit.
  • Partner with the customer to understand their business and serve as a trusted advisor who understands their needs.

Skills & Abilities

  • Industrial knowledge of solid wood processesing machinery including:
    • Multi-Blade Rip Saws
    • Optimizing Crosscut & Defecting Saws
    • End Mathcers & Finger Jointers
    • 2- or 4-Sided Feed Through Planers & Moulders
  • Must be able to set and achieve sales goals as set by the company
  • Proficient in asking relevant questions
  • Solution-oriented mindset
  • Straightforward and honest in communication
  • Skilled in closing deals and achieving results
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficiency in leveraging LinkedIn for expanding customer base
  • Ability to work with minimum direction
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • Self-starter, and customer-focused
  • Bi-lingual is a plus



Experience (Required)

  • 3 - 5 years: Business development experience
  • 3 - 5 years: Cold calling experience
  • 3 - 5 years: Technical sales experience

Starting Base Pay Range

$50,000 plus commission

Travel Required

0% - 10%
